We saw Dr Hyer in private clinic for our daughter's stomach ache. My 11 years old daughter suffering from stomach ache since February. We struggled to get NHS appointments due to COVID situations. When we came to Dr Hyer , he listened to us and he promised us there will be no further delay .He explained us, why my daughter is experiencing these stomach aches and other symptoms. Dr Hyer and his team booked her for endoscopy and colonoscopy at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Less than a month my daughter was diagnosed for Crohn's disease and she started the treatment . Dr Hyer is very responsive ,friendly and professional. He helped us understand about the test results and treatment . My daughter is very happy with Dr Hyer . She is deaf and she wears cochlear implants , Dr Hyer would talk to her slowly with giving eye contact. He make sures she understood the condition. She is confident that she can get better. We are grateful to Dr Hyer.

I am very lucky to have met Dr Hayer. My daughter was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of 7 years old ( she is now 12) and she was followed by another doctor. I started to look for a different doctor as I felt she was not followed properly- I was the one who asked the doctor to do follow up meetings and through my GP organise every 6 months blood and stool tests. I felt being on my own with very little feedback on the other side, especially when my daughter had flare ups. One evening, I I went online and started to do a thorough research on pediatric gastroenterologist doctors. Dr Hayer came up frequently with great reviews and the same evening I wrote to him. The next morning, I receive his response. My daughter, at that time was not feeling well ( with horrible flare ups) and not possible to see him because of summer holidays, Dr Hayer suggested medications to solve the bleeding. I was surprised that he was extremely available, following up with her flare ups and contacting me to know how she was doing after the advised medication. As my daughter was feeling well, I contacted again Dr Hayer in November to schedule a meeting and to plan a colonoscopy which unfortunately didn’t happen as planned due to Covid. My daughter did the colonoscopy and endoscopy last week at Chelsea and Westminister. The hospital is very organised with swab tests for Covid 3 days before the operation. You and your child need to be Covid free prior to the operation. It took us 5 minutes to do both of us and no waiting at all! When we arrived the day of the operation, everything was perfect; we had caring and sweet nurses, 2 anaesthetists talking about the Anaesthetic procedure and then, the fantastic Dr Hyer with his dog bandana on his head living up the moment of suspense and giving confidence to my girl but also to me. After the operation, he came to see us and meticulously described what he has seen and what new medication to take. Despite I also have ulcerative colitis (sines 11 years ) which unfortunately is a genetical illness, with Dr Hyer I feel reassured that my daughter will not only be fine, but mainly will have a normal like.

Dr Hyer is a very personable and provided the best care for my 5 y/o son from the first visit at Northwick Park Hospital through the NHS and then for a gastroscopy at The Portland Hospital. He diagnosed the issue with my son and explained everything so very well. Totally happy with him!
